Tori had called the doctors of the land, and a few priests of the church. She had laid the young girl, Insidia, down upon the floor, and sought treatment for the girl's wounds. After all, the girl's life was on her head... She understood Vidar's love of God, and therefore his love of all. She would not fail him, nor their God, whom both served.
A young doctor approached Tori as she stood, wondering if there was anything she could do. "She should be fine, but we will have to make sure that she does not move and open her wound more."
A young priest added, "Her faith will heal her, but there is nothing else we can do. It is best that she rest and pray. I understand she is here under the orders of Lord Vidar?"
"That is the case," Tori replied calmly, despite her anxious feelings regarding the girl's health.

By the arrival at the castle, Insidia fainted sometime while the female carried her. She remembered her last moments as seeing a head, a blade, and hearing a female's voice, though what she said was incomprehensible, then being risen from the ground, she saw her upper body covered in blood, movement, and the dagger she used against her own chest. That all then came to a stop, which must have been as her mind passed from consciousness.
Her mind awoke from nothingness with distortion. Very slowly her eyes reopened, looking up at an unfamiliar ceiling, her hears listening to voices of mixed genders. She seemed to have no thoughts forming, and little understanding of anything at all. She may only wait for the recollection of what had taken place before her mind put itself to rest.
Her right handed fingers moved with a light twitch, only little strength able to be used. Perhaps it was all a dream, she wanted to feel beneath her collar bones, feel if there was such a wound as she thought had been remembered. The movement could not be found just yet, no strength had been returned to her. She must feel fear and dread, or so much at best when her mind find's itself able to have such emotions.

Tori looked at Insidia, and smiled, "You are lucky, Miss, that I was there to save you. You might have died if Vidar had nought but a normal guard to run you here. I am Tori Shiroishi, and I am charged with taking care of Avaren castle, and 'cleaning house.'" She waited for those words to sink into Insidia. She took hold of her scythe, as both it and her dress dripped with the blood of others, and began to clean it carefully. "There is nothing more our priests can do for you, so rest and pray for God to save your soul." She finished wiping the man's blood off of her scythe, and left that she may wash and change her clothes.
She was gone for only a few minutes, before she returned with fresh clothes, both on her and in her hands. "Leave. I am going to change our guest into something more suitable." In her arms, she held some of her own clothes, a black dress, black knee-socks, and black shoes. She moved toward Insidia to change her into this outfit.

Such difficulty it was to listen and understand the words spoken to her, the voice sounded calm and soothing. Insidia believed it to be saying she was the female whom killed Ryan and...and then she realized it. Ryan was an innocent man and Insidia was at fault for his death...though she felt no sympathy, no guilt...This female saved Inisdia's life, and wished the best for her, and then her steps began, leaving the room.
Still, she had no strength, nor had she ever been this weak. Utterly helpless. Insidia's eyes remained open, the ceiling the only thing she could still see. It would have been nice to see the face of her savior. The female was close again, she had returned, saying some words to the surrounding men, followed by the sound of them exiting. That wound, she still did not know if it were real, she gathered all the willpower she had. Insidia's wrist raised a mere inch from where she lay, only to fall back against the surface.

"I wouldn't move, if I were you. You've lost a lot of blood, so the doctors say. I believe that it is just any signs of the devil leaving your body." She bent over Insidia, and began changing her clothes into those that she had brought. "It seems as though you are a woman of good faith, to survive a wound as this. Maybe we can allow you to attend our church, and pray to God with us. Personally, I didn't even like the look of that devil-worshiping man. You must be cold, so I shall get you something to cover yourself." She had finished dressing Insidia. She did not show it, but she disliked Insidia just as much as that man she had killed. However, Vidar could not be wrong, so this girl must be innocent. Thus, she held back her dislike, believing that her intuition must be wrong, as Vidar was right. She left once more, this time for something to cover Insidia.
Having left Insidia on a small sofa, she returned with a blanket of wool, and wrapped it carefully around Insidia. She was not going to let anything happen to this girl while under her care. She would never fail Lord Vidar, for failing him was as failing the Lord God, himself.

How strange it was to have someone take care of her. David had, indeed, though she were not as helpless, nor was it such personal gestures. She managed to turn her face to the female tending to her clothes, seeing her face. She were different looking, in fact a reminder of herself, just a little bit. She would smile in thanks if she could.
"Lies he told...He tried to harm me..."Insidia told the female with a raspy whisper, referring to Ryan.
She were to ask the female's name, once dressed again, though she had turned to leave. With luck she returned, and with a warm blanket as well. She let it warm her skin, leaving it over her body as placed.
"I thank you, miss...Your name...what is it?" Insidia asked, the same weak tone as before.

"I am but a humble servant of the Lord God. Do not thank me, but instead Him, for it is He who saved you by placing me there," She repeated, having said this phrase many times to those whom she had helped in the past. She looked at Insidia where she lay, asking, "Do you find warm food appealing?" The thought of taking care of this girl made her feel sick, her intuition screaming that this woman was nothing but a heathen like the one she had killed. Lord Vidar could never be wrong, however, and so her intuition was once again disregarded. Her face showed not even a hint of the feelings she had welling up. Her entire body screamed for her to kill the heathen before her, but she believed Lord Vidar. He was the Lord God's word, and so he could not be wrong. She would have to leave the room soon, that she would not kill this girl. Retrieving food seemed her best chance to escape from her feelings for a time.

Insidia managed a small smile to form on her lips, listening to the female answer. She had a rough time believing that this female gave herself no recognition at all for what she had done. Something made her stomach twist as she was here, perhaps not knowing where it was. Insidia had been accompanied by fright far too much these past days and evenings. She sighed slowly, closing her eyes upon the inhale. She looked at the female within her eyes while she recalled her own hand taking a blade to below her collar bones, and her eyes seeing her upper body turn crimson from streams of blood so red. The priest...his words shed things with agonizing light...
"You did not say your name." Insidia let the female know that words of a god would not make her forget to call someone by their name. "It was your strength, your choice to help me, the free will given to you by God.
Insidia's deceiving eyes still stares at the female, wanting an answer, a name to put on this girl. Though one could not read from her soul by seeing Insidia's eyes, or even know what she is truly looking upon, there is something that will conjure unease. Though you may not give notice, when you look into an abyss, the abyss also look into you...
"The king...where is he? I would like to see him again...sometime." She added, it seemed her face brightened at the mention of this man.

Tori immediately dismissed the notion of taking credit for her actions, insisting instead, "No, miss. It was not my choice to help you, nor has my strength ever come from myself. The choice was that of the Lord God, and my strength given to me by the same. I am but a tool with which he may guide lost souls to freedom. My name is irrelevant. I have no intention of taking credit for His work." Tori glanced at Insidia. She still could not fully trust in this girl. Was her faith wavering? It must be the work of Satan. She decided that she had better do something about her faith before it truly wavered. For now, though, her holy charge was taking care of this girl.
"Lord Vidar? He is wherever the Lord God has sent him, for it is not in my needs to know of his location, save that it is ordained by the Lord God. I do not need to know what the Lord God is planning. It is sufficient that I know of his love for all. How he expresses it, I do not personally care, for it is not my place to correct him," Tori ranted for a time, oblivious to the fact that this girl might not want to hear about, and love the Lord God as much as Tori did.

She sighed, letting her eyes close, relaxing her tightened muscles. Had this female been lying? It were possible, she may know where the king is, ah and she spoke his name...but she would not tell hers. Insidia wished to touch the wound on her chest, surly she knew it did exist, though the severity it she did not. It would leave a mark, no doubt, though that was the least of troubles, she escaped death with it.
"I would enjoy seeing him again, once more..." Insidia murmured, putting her arms over the blanket and resting crossed over her waist.
A small smile appeared on her face as she was in thought. The female was too stubborn to give a name, though she had mentioned the king's. Something made her think this female had romantic interaction with the king, though it would be unlikely of such a strict priest. Maybe it were just how submissive this female was, and the excessive praise she gave.
"He is a wonderful man, is he not? The king, I speak about."

"Truly a great man, and a definite leader," Tori replied without hesitation, "His word comes from the Lord God, himself. He is known as a holy man, and a savior to the people of Avaren. He is a great king appointed by the Lord God to lead us to salvation!" Tori could not help herself, as she became quite happy at the thought of the Lord God. "Surely we shall be delivered from this time of rampant heathenism! The Lord God would not forsake us, His loyal followers," Tori continued. It became quite obvious that she actually believed every single word that spilled forth from her mouth, so great was her faith in the church of Avaren and likewise the crown. She returned to realistic thoughts, however, as she remembered that it would be a sin to let this girl be. "Ah! You didn't answer! How would you like some food?"

She closed her eyes, listening to the words about this city's king, a docile expression displayed on her face. For a serene moment she believed that she truly liked King Vidar and wished his presence. Insidia pictured his stern face in her thoughts, his blonde locks of hair falling around his chin, and fair flesh. Though it were his eyes that made the most weighted impression. Her mind's occupation was interrupted by a seemingly cheerful question.
"No, I am content. Thank you." Insidia replied to the female.''
How strange it was this female would not speak her name...Although Insidia disliked her's, she still would kindly tell anyone who would wish to know. She was strange, alright, something almost eerie about her. Though it may be Insidia's imagination, which could overreact at such a time.

Tori reached onto a shelf, and began to dust it, allowing Insidia time to think. It seemed as though this woman really wanted to see Lord Vidar. This was proper for a reasonable follower of the Lord God, so Tori thought. That wasn't a problem for Tori, but nonetheless, it might be for him. She had no idea where Lord Vidar was, as she had left immediately after being told to take care of this woman. Whether he was still near the houses of Avaren's families, or not, she couldn't say. She merely decided that, so long as the girl needed nothing, she would continue her duties as keeper of the castle, and help the girl when needed. "Please, tell me if you need anything, miss," Tori requested, "and I may be able to get it."

It had taken Vidar some time before he returned to the castle. for although no one questioned his deeds or the deeds of his followers, at least in the open, he still felt it necessary to inform anyone who bore witness to the execution of Ryan of the true nature of his sins; a warning for all who might turn from the path of light.
Finally departing, leaving a few guards to clean up the resultant mess, he decided it time to check on his new guest. She was an interesting girl and clearly fiercely devout in her faith, as shown by her little demonstration that had very nearly claimed her life. Such absolute dedication to the lord was quite reassuring to Vidar that his cause was just.
"She does need something," Vidar said, throwing open the door to the room in which Tori waited upon Insidia, "The good doctor says she needs to eat." he said, gesturing to the doctor whom Tori had dismissed, who was fretting behind him, muttering something about needing to eat properly to replenish the vast amount of blood she had lost. "though her faith would surely save her soul, I would that you obey the doctor's orders, to save your mortal body."

"That, I will." She said, kindly replying to the female.
Insidia opened and closed her eyes once, beginning to rest. Though that rest lasted mere seconds, being ironically interrupted by the king. She turned her head to face him, her eyes and complexion lighting up at his sight. Her right hand was put against her chest, close to her heart, a smile forming on her fact, listening to him speak. Her left arm extended out to him, her palm opened in welcome.
"Oh, Father...My Lord...If only I could bow and kneel to you, Sir." She said to him, her voice surrounded by an admiring and soft tone. "Oh, thank you, my Lord, I owe my life to you and this woman."
Smiling still, holding her arm out to him, her glowing face still showed a heavy unhealth. She was of course still very weak, perhaps disoriented. The king's concern meant a great deal to her, whether she believed in his god, or had she not, the concern of any king was of much worth.
