Alezand turned around and faced Tyanno, his eyes locking with those of of his old friend. Though Tyanno actually never considered himself an real warrior, as Jozlyn knew, the current times required Alezand to make Tyanno adept as possible in weaponized combat. Alezand was going to need someone to depend on in the days to come. Being a master in many types of personal weapons, Alezand would accept this new responsibility with the greatest of honor. "It's time you learned to fight by my side with equal footing. I can teach everything you need to know about hand to hand combat. You become proficient in everyone of those weapons." he said as he gestured to a barrel and two heavy trunks crammed to the bursting point with bows, staffs, various swords and other "toys". "But you must choose which you carry and thus be your primary and best weapon. And there is another weapon you must master that I can't teach you. Your combative magic skills..." And with that, Alezand drew his blade, indicating the start of the session...

Tyanno turned and silently went to the cluster of arms. After studying the pile a moment, he drew a light long sword. He figured he'd better start with the basics. After all, Alezand could teach him more of blade tactics than any other type of weapon. Twirling the weapon once, he turned to face his teacher. They were both wearing light, but stong armor, so no injuries could occur. Holding the sword with both hands in front of him, he bent his knees and waited for the lesson to begin...

Alezand explained the different forms of swordcraft and basic guards, readys and balanced stances. He demonstrated blocks and various combos that worked in most combat scenarios. After awhile, Tyanno had got down all the basics and more. Alezand was blessed with a very fast learner who wasn't all that unfamiliar to the battlefield. It wasn't too long till it was apparent that it was time to spar. Alezand took a loose form five ready stance. His breath evened out as he relaxed, lowering his heart rate in preparation...

Tyanno took an unorthodox form six stance, forward ready. He concentrated inwardly, his breathing, his thoughts. He reached into the pocket of his soul that made him an Allaine. Allaine possessed strange powers that made them expert of combat and protection. They were able to almost predict what was about happen, giving them superior reflexes. However, they were not perfect, and were very much mortal. they practiced honor bound rituals that weighed heavily on balance with life, nature, and with others. Tyanno was now reaching into that inner strength, knowing full well that Alezand was doing the exact same thing as well. But this was an unfair fight, blade to blade. Tyanno was just going to use his one and only advantage. After all, he didn't tell Alezand exactly how much magic he had actually managed to master and learn...

Alezand struck first, uncharacteristicly of his style, but given the circumstances... Alezand struck low left then quickly switched high and right. Spinning on his heel, Alezand pressed the initiative, his attacks flowing one to another. He was careful not to go all out on Tyanno, but...

Tyanno fell back, his blade absorbing the torrent of attacks bombarding him. Though most of his concentration was focused on Alezands movement, he gradually drew upon his essence that contained his magic. It shall start innocent enough... He could sense his companion holding back slightly. He'll have to change that. As Alezand changed into the next slash, Tyanno flashed an open palm upon the ground at Alezands feet. Thus appearing a patch of ice as Tyanno ducked under the attack. Alezands weight shifted as he flowed into the next attack...

Alezand felt his feet slide out from under him. flowing with the motion, Alezand rolled to his right and came back up in a firm guard, waiting to see what would happen next, taken completely by surprise at Tyanno's mastery of using elemental power in close combat. ver impressive...

Tyanno came back in with the offensive, now that he had effectively changed the initiative. swinging his blade furiously, he tried his hardest to force an opening. But his opponent was too skilled. Alezand had many more years behind the blade of a sword. The weapon he carried was a gift from the elves. Tyanno, at this stage, couldn't hope to beat him in swordsmanship alone. Tyanno wracked his mind for other spells that he knew that could work in this situation. An idea formed, as he drew a thrust away and to his left, he formed a an instant slush ball in his hand. It was one of his first, but thankfully, the heat of combat had jump started his skills, taking less and less concentration. As he flowed into the block, his right hand came out from behind him and discharged the slush ball in a point blank range pegging at Alezands head...

Alezand ducked the attack, barely missing as it caught the cuff of his hooded cloak. the cold snow dissapated through the air around him, leave a chilled sensation on the back of his neck where it spattered. Alezand changed his step and thrusted, driving forward into his opponent. His attacks picking up speed and randomness, Alezand quickly picked up the iniative again...

Tyanno nearly folded under the new barrage of attacks. Sensing his plight, Tyanno dove out of range, came back to his feet, his mind rushing to his next move. Thinking fast, he started pelting snowballs at Alezand as fast as he could conjure them...

Alezand had control over the fight now. His opponent on the run and fighting his hardest to gain footing in this struggle. Alezand pressed forward, his blade flashing to and fro, singing threw the air. And its song was beautiful. He blocked the incoming snow and drove forward upon his oppenent. He could sense Tyanno's worry and stress, and it fueled him. It gave him confidence, and it gave him leverage. Tyanno would eventually have to let up to block Alezands coming strikes, or he will make a mistake in his rush to gain initiative and Alezand would finish it...

tyanno's power was dwindling as the fight progressed. He needed to knock Alezand back so he could recharge his power somewhat. Franticlly thinking as he dodged the next attack, he suddenly realized he wasn't throwing ice anymore. duh he thought to himself, and concentrated hard on what reserves he had left. and he faced Alezand square on and let loose a jet of water. It wasn't a lot of water, because his power had just ran out, but he still had just enough concentration to form atight and powerful jet from his palm...

Alezand was too close to Tyanno, pressing his attack, to clear of the blast. He took it full in the chest and flew back about ten feet. Upon landing on the ground, he rolled into the impact and came up ready. "oh, you are gonna get it boy..." he said with a smile and charged Tyanno with all his might. But at the last second, he leaped high into the air, sword glinting in the strangled light that managed to make it through the thick canopy. he came down hard...

Tyanno had only a second. with a tiny bit of remaining power, He swirled the air around him, obscurring his opponents view and leaped up into the lowest branches and waited. Unfortunately, his little cloud disappated quicker than he liked and Alezand had sprang at him. At the top of his flight, Tyanno watched in slow motion as Alezand cut the branch out from under him and he came tumbling down to the gound. He landed hard, the wind knocked out of him, temporarily stunning him. He shook his head hard and rolled as he anticipated another attack from the warrior. He came up with his sword drawn, his arms ached him to put it down, but addrenaline and fear willed him not to waver. His teeth gritted and grinded as he subconciously prepared himself for the next blows, with out his mind even catching gear...

OCC, Srry Alezand, I took a little more control of the post by adding in some of your possible actions. Hope you don't mind, but we need to speed up the plot...
