Adrienne laughed along with him then said, "Patience my friend." She took a deep breath and said , "alright the trick i am about to show you requires great concentration on my part so please don't interrupt me." She gracefully stood and closed her eyes. She stood for a few moments, leeting her heart conncet with nature. She than began to move slowly, gracefully as if she was dancing. It wan't a normal walk because she put one foot infront of the other, walking on her tip-toes, and occasionally corssing them. After getting a nice distnce away, she slowly began to twirl and leap, she was dancing. She eyes remained closed as she danced. She moved her hands and suddenly there was a staff in her hands. She twirled it gracefully moving to some unheard music, that could only be heard if one were to listen to it from their heart. As she danced, strange things began to occur, the wind seemed to still, nature itself seemed to be hoding its breath. Even stranger were the strange balls of light floated around her adding to this dance. This dance seemed to be peaceful, yet hetic a true dance of her heart. This was no ordinary dance ever moement had to be just right, ever sep had to have meaning. She finally finished the dance by twilring the staff and holding it with one hand clutching it and the ther resting lightly above that one. Even after the dance wa finished Adrienne stood, she felt very much at peace and gradually realsed the hold on the magic she had called. She opened her eyes and oved the staff , sending it away. She walked back and sat next to Alezand. "So what did you think?" she asked. She remembered the first time she had seen the dance, it had left her incredibly peaceful, and it made her want to learn it. It had taken quite some time to learn it having only done it once before, she had hoped it had the effect she desired. she looked at her friend and awaited his response.

Alezand clapped, totally enchanted by her gracefulness. But he still had that nonchalant, mischievous grin on his face, which had only seemed to have gotten bigger. "Not bad, I am impressed. You'll have to tell me where you learned to dance like that, but first... my trick. Which, by the way, is much harder." He said, putting as much tease into the last phrase as he could. Here goes, he thought to himself. He turned around more to face her better, while he was still sitting down. "come closer, cause I'm only going to do this once." he beckoned her to sit beside him. With as much flourish as he could possibly muster he showed her that he had nothing hidden, or so it seemed. And quickly reached behind her ear as if to do that age old childs trick of grabbing a coin from behind one's ear. But no, this was much better. Or so he hoped. He spent all morning preparing for this. And with a snap of his fingers, he presented a the biggest and most colorful bow of wild flowers out from behind her head. And as he he handed it to her, a half dozen tiger swallow tail butterflies fluttered out of the flowers and alighted on and around them both....

Adrienne rolled here eyes at the the trick she had just done was the hardest she knew and one of the more complicated things, that could have gone wrong. She rolled her eyes and moved closer to see what he would do. When he reached behind her ear she cocked an eyeborw wondering why he was doing a cheap palor trick. A surpised look appeared on her face. she gasped as presented the biggest and most colorful bow of wild flowers out from behind her head. As he handed it to her a big smile appeared on her face when she saw the butterflies, her eyes danced as she said, "Hmm not a bad trick, mine was better i am impressed."

"hey, I spent all morning picking those flowers from that far hill other there," pointing to a mound top aross the far end of the lake, "And catching those butterflies, without magic." He added, picking up one of the timid creatures gently fromoff his shoulder. He let it rest on his finger for a moment. With a gentle breath, he blew the fragile thing to her and it landed lightly on her nose. He gave a slight chuckle, but his eyes never left hers. Not even noticing, he slowly leaned closer... (occ, you once asked Alezand a question back at that banquet. Heres his answer...)

Adrienne laughed at that and said, "Well you did a good job and i thank you for these flowers." she blinked as the butterfly rested on her nose. She watched it fly away, then looked at Alezand to see him leaning in. Her breath caught in her throat as her eyes locked with his. (ooc: yes i remeber that)

Time was said to stand still in moments like these. And Alezand believed it. He had no perception of the world around him and only was aware of her every feature as Time seemed to race and yet get nowhere at all. His heart, rapidly busting at his chest in a vain attempt to be free of its mortal cage. His heart thought of a million things at once and yet was focused. And without thought or volition... He kissed her. The air held its own breathe. The trees seemed to watch in earnest. And the wood silenced itself in respect. His world had effectively stopped for ten momentous seconds as his soul sang for the first time, in a long time. Warmth coursed through his veins from his long since broken heart and a light came to. Different from the fire of courage and chivalry already burning furiously from his soul, this was not his weapon, but his being. Another purpose that had been long since dormant from that fateful day seven years ago. And yet all those years of darkness and fear, blood and sacrifice, and seemingly unsurmountable pain, they all seemed to be wiped away. As if all that was the price worthy to pay for those ten seconds of utter bliss. It was things like this the he was truley fighting for, he had just only forgotten...

Time seemed to still from Adrienne' point of view as well. She had no perception of the world as Alezand leaned in. She became aware of his every feture, time seemd to go so fast yet no where at all. Her heart was beating rapidly, trying to escape from its mortal cage and break free, it was focused and yet it though of a million things at once. Then she felt him kiss her, the air seemed to hold its breath, the trees seemed to watch in earnest. And the wood silenced itself in respect. Her world compeltly stopped for ten wonderous, momentous seconds her heart sang for thr first time. Never had see experienced this before, as warmth coursed through her heart. She had never felt such warmth before, all her pains, sadness and fear melted away, all the years of hiding her ture self gone in an instant. The warmth felt apart of her very being. All the darkness she had held buried deep inside was was washed away in this moment of bliss. Although it had only last a few seconds she knew deep in her heart something had happened.

Reality still was slow to return as they parted. He was entirely focused on her expression. He had found the one thing he didn't even know he was looking for. He wondered, for just a fraction of a second if he ever could love again. But at last he seemed to prove that his heart was still strong and willing. In fact, it was what it needed the most right now. It spread over his fractured soul of a soldier and bound it, filling into the wounds and breaks and hardening like and armor like no other. One no mortal weapon could pierce. And one he would not let go. He, in that moment, torn between her eyes, sworn in on himself, that he would NOT fail like he did last time. He was going to fix all the wrong of the land, and would start here. In one simple kiss. "wow..." he whispered, his nose still only and inch from hers. Strange in and familiar all at once, his mind refused to think about anything else. A war was being fought descreetly, one that would decide the fate of all the people here. But it didn't matter right now. A grave injustice was being carried out, as mages were being perseuted as Dark ones. But did not matter at this time. For all that was going to change, one way or another. And Alezand would carry this new armor in his heart and draw the love and loyaty to his friends as his blade into the coming battle. he was invincable for a simple fact that he loved someone...

Even as reality retuned adrienne still felt the effects, her heart was soaring free at last from the confines of its shell, her true self had been revived. She was focused on him, her expression was of happiness. She had found something she hadn't been looking for nor expecting. She had found love, she knew she could love again even though she had been hurt in the past but she had never thought she would find love. It seemed to heart had been more than willing and it was just what she needed. It repaired all her pain, her sadness, her lonely lost desolation and tranformed it it to happiness, and love. In that moment she became determied to help him and others in any way she could. As small smile appeared on her face and she said, "Yeah." She gazed into his eyes it was so strange, yet familar, her mind thought of nothing else. She loved Alezand, she knew deep within her heart that she would fight loyally by his side and give him her love. though there were many battles and many challanges, she was stronger because she loved him.

Alezand knew that things were about to get hard. he didn't know how, he just had that kind of intuition. one honed by time on the battlefield. And he wanted this day to last forever. This discovery of humanity within him was a triumph after a long period of stalemates and tacticle retreats. He would fight until his last breath for days like these. "So, what do you wanna do now?" He asked, watching that cute smile spread across her fair face. Her eyes, sparkling in the dappled sunlight like crystaline pools of refuge that he could dive into to escape the world, were like bonds upon his hands, feet and heart. They would never let him go. He would drown in them, and die happy. Her hair, flowing on the the simple caress of the wind, shining as golden silk spun in its soft entirety, making the sun itself dull in its hue. he gently ran a finger through it in a simple need to touch her to remind himself that he wasn't dreaming. She was there, not rippling away like a mirage or false reflection upon the water. Did he deserve this? For a moment, he questioned himself. He still had failed miserably the first time and still hadn't redeemed himself of that, his particular mission incomplete. But, he thought again, maybe this was his second chance in a way to prove that he was still a good man...

Adrienne smiled, she wanted this day to last forver but she knew it wouldn't so she would make the most of this day with Alezand. Adrienne smiled as Alezand ran his finger through her hair she this was real this was happening. It was no mirage, no illusion she was here. She gazed into his blue eyes and though about the question, honestly she didn't know or care as long as it was with him. Was she good enough for him, better yet was he good enough for her. She thought he was but she had wrong before she finally answered his question by saying, "honestly i don't know."

He was amazed at the power one heart can hold, over and over again in his time. His heart for ordinary people, a soldiers love for his country, a childs love of its mother, a king's love of his power, a thiefs love of another's possessions, and evils love for destruction. But more so, the power of one girl could have over that hardened soldier, and the power of the soldiers heart to break every part of his spirit around to keep, hold, protect and love above all else that girl. Power to put oneself in harms way to protect that love of country and companion. Power to put the needs of the country and companion before that of the seized soul. But that ironic part was that those chains were liberating and empowering. The bonds of loyalty and love were stronger than anything else and yet were not constraining. In fact, Alezand hadn't felt so free in a long time. And he would do anything and everything in his mortal power to keep Adrienne happy, safe and in his arms. "Then," he replied quietly after a moment, "We can sit here and enjoy ourselves until we think of something." And with that, he drew her close, and gently wrapped his arms around her and rubbed her shoulders as he softly sang a old Allaine song in her ear. The song spoke of endless ache of the Defender's heart while he was away from the one he was fighting for. How he saw her face in the clouds over the field and that her love was all that he needed to be safe. It told of unmeasurable time spent trekking through blinding blizzards to reach home and the warm wrap of his lover's arms. how no distance was too far and no evil was going to prevail, so long as he could come back to his partner. Alezand breathed in the sweet, subtle scent of her hair, and gently rocked her in his arms as he sang softly, pausing only to kiss her gently on her cheek, still humming the soothing tune...

Adrienne smiled as Alezand drew her close, she sighed softly as she felt his arms wrap around her. She felt safe, and happy, this was where she belonged safe within Alezand's arms. she knew that he had many battles ahead of him but she knew that he would always return to her. She listened to the song and new in her heart that it was his song, she would wait for him always, support him in his fight. Even if they couldn't be together she knew he wuld fight his way to come back to her. She was content knowing that even if they were torn apart their feelings would keep them going. She felt soothed as he gentle rocked her humming the tune. She felt him kiss her cheek and she smiled, humming along to the tune. she picked it up easily.

And so the day carried on. A boat ride during sunset, watching the sun dip down into the enormous shimmer of the lake. The frogs began their seranade, as Alezand brought in a few fish via pole and line to cook up for dinner. The stars came out early as the sun was still making its exit, setting the lake ablaze with color, and accented by the shine of the first points of night light above in the purple and blue velvet of the rapidly folding blanket of twilight. The Moon soon rose as the couple mad eback to shore and the last clouds parted from the sky for good. The music of the woods changed as the creatures of the day were replaced by their night time counterparts. The air was alive with the majestic rythym of Mother nature. Alezand broke out a pan and some seasonings for the fish and made a fire quickly. As the smell of basting fish filled the little clearing, Alezand told Adrienne of his stories of his many close calls and battles. Rescues and escapes, befriending a tribe of elves, finding Tyanno and so on. He told of funny encounters and bungles that he and his counterpart both made in their random travels. All the while, he had secured and piece of driftwood, washed up on the short beach a distance away. He whittled at it, without looking at it much. It rapidly took the form of a fife, despite his animated conversation with Adrienne. He listened as she told him stories of her own. The fish was soon ready and he drifted over and scooped up the meal onto two fabricated plates. He handed it to her and they began to eat yet another meal...

As the day wore on Adrienne had a great time chatting with Alezand, she enjoyed listening to his stories as well as telling some of her own. She had greatly enjoyed her day with Alexand and she didn't want it to end, as she told him one of her favorite stories of her childhood she watched him whittling. Her stomach growled as he handed her the fish. Sh smiled and took it beginning to eat. "Thank you for this nice meal, Alezand and thank you for inviting me here, I really enjoyed spending time with you." Adrienne said
