Aleph stood behind her, somewhat unsure of what to say. He wasn't overly good at comforting people, but he could certainly give it a shot. "I'm sure you're very worth loving," he said carefully. "It's just that, well, I suppose people fear themselves and their feelings. They're afraid to get involved with anyone and are afraid of it turning out badly. It's not you that makes them run away," he explained. He hoped she would understand what he meant, since he almost didn't himself. Though he hated to prove her particular point, Aleph needed to get back to the inn. He'd left some things there that he would need for his travels.

Evee listened to his words, but all she could think about is Aleph riding off and never returning. "...I don't want to keep you...Go on..." Evee said to him without turning around. It would be harder for her to cope with if she actually watched him leave. It would hurt but time will pass and she would just have to move forward. He might come back and then he may not.

Aleph stepped forwards and placed his hand on Evee's shoulder. "Hey," he said, "I'll make sure to visit you next time I'm in town, OK?" Then, with heavy heart and downcast eyes, he made his way back around to the front of the house. After packing the extra food Evee had made for him in a saddle bag, he mounted Beht and started to ride slowly back to Avaren. As he rode off, he glanced back often to try to catch one last glimpse of Evee.

Evee shut her eyes when he touched her shoulder. She burned his last words into her brain before he left. Once she heard the sounds of his horse riding off slowly, Evee walked to the front of her house and watched as Aleph rode off. Her eyes glistened with tears and the sun shined on her face. She didn't know what else to do but see him off....
OOC: Short I know. >_<
